AI Chat Markdown Collector is designed to be a local-first extension. We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal data, clipboard content, or browsing history to any external servers.

2. Data Storage

All data captured by this extension (including your Markdown notes, template settings, and domain preferences) is stored strictly locally on your device using the Chrome browser's standard chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly choose to export it as a PDF, Image, or Markdown file.

3. Permissions Justification

• <all_urls> (Host Permission): Used by our Content Script to detect when you click "Copy" on AI chat websites (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) so we can automatically append the copied text to your sidebar notes.
• storage: Used exclusively to save your notes and extension preferences locally so they persist when you close the browser.

We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
